The Broker — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is solid.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have used MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into your decision.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.
